Tubs and Tails is a pet grooming salon that was managing transactions, service records, and customer history through a mix of paper logs and spreadsheets. The Problem with Off-the-Shelf POS
Square and Vagaro are excellent products for salons with standard service menus. But Tubs and Tails had specific tracking requirements: every service is assigned to a specific groomer, for a specific pet, with pricing that varies by pet size and service type. No generic POS mapped cleanly to this workflow. The closest alternatives would have required workarounds for every transaction — which defeats the purpose.
